The TOFD Series scanning system is made specifically to function with the MPE Taxi and TOFD
wedges. This flexible and strong, modular system features:
- Adjustable to scan many different configurations while maintaining consistent accuracy
- Variable PCS, wedge distances
- Unlimited wedge angle adjustment for use on flat surfaces or pipes of varying diameter

TOFD Refracted Wave Wedges |
|
The TOFD Series Wedges are cross-linked polystyrene pre-drilled for assembly to TOFD hydlar wedge holders that supply couplant.
Multiple wedge angles available for both longitudinal and shear wedges- Profiles wedges are available
- Standard and high temperature versions available
- Available for scanning several different materials
Wedges shown below are for use with standard temperature carbon steel.
Item codes marked (*) are also available for high temperature carbon Steel (100° C limited exposure)
Specify pipe diameter for profiled wedges
Call for information regarding wedges for use with other material types, i.e. stainless steel, aluminum etc.
Note: TOFD wedges must be used with APTW adaptor plates and the corresponding flat, axial or circumferential hydlar wedge holder.
