Probability of Detection (POD) for NDT applications.

Designed primarily for qualification programmes for pipeline AUT but may be used for other applications.  Requires that Microsoft Excel and the SOLVER add-in be present on the computer.

NDT inspectors are increasingly required to produce quantitative results using tools that are not optimum for the task. As a result, uncertainties in the quantities they provide can be expected. These can be broadly grouped into two categories; detection uncertainty and dimensional uncertainty.
