126A – TomoView Operation

TomoView has been hailed for its versatility as an NDT software inspection and analysis tool.  Participants are shown the versatility of this unique software package allowing data acquisition thru various Windows platform computers including laptops and associated peripherals.  Enhanced beam forming will be done using the advanced focal law calculator to permit different focal planes.  This ability will allow the participant to configure different probe types and a beam visualization tool.  The participant will learn post processing capabilities such as data file merging, position correction, soft gain control and color scale modifications along with flexible reporting capability with a choice of multiple readings, export to Excel or Access and a print screen tool.

Duration

5 days (40 hours)
50% classroom, 40% hands-on software, 10% testing

Course Equipment and Materials

Sample files along with the data acquisition instruments will be used to explore the many features of the TomoView software.

Requirements for Successful Completion

A mark of 80% is required for successful completion and certification. Final pass mark is based on combined daily quiz marks and final exam. A Certificate of Completion is provided.
